Lake Malawi
35 DAY EAST AFRICAN ADVENTURE
Nairobi to Victoria Falls

We will explore the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater, which offer excellent game viewing in pursuit of the 'big five', then we spend some time on the island of Zanzibar to enjoy gorgeous beaches and the intriguing alleyways of Stone Town. Another great African train ride takes us south to Malawi, and the warm and inviting freshwater Lake Malawi, dubbed the 'lake of stars' by explorer David Livingstone. We spend a few days exploring the tranquil beaches and islands and take the famous ferry to the extreme south of the lake. We cross into Zambia where the highlight is the little visited South Luangwa National Park, which is well know for its high concentration of elephant and leopard. We pass through Zambia's lively capital of Lusaka and end the trip in Victoria Falls to see the impressive 'smoke that thunders' and enjoy the many optional adventure activities on offer.

SERENGETI
The Serengeti is a 60,000 square kilometer savanna which lies over Tanzania and Kenya. The biannual migration that occurs there is considered one of the seven tourist travel wonders of the world. The region contains several national parks and game reserves. Its name is derived from the Masai language and means "Endless Plains".

ZANZIBAR

Zanzibar is the collective name for two islands: Unguja (the main island) and Pemba Island, situated in the Indian Ocean. The capital of Zanzibar, located on the island of Unguja, is Zanzibar City. The city's old quarter, known as Stone Town, is a World Heritage Site.

VICTORIA FALLS
Victoria Falls is one of the natural wonders of the world and a World Heritage site. The Victoria Falls topples over a sheer 100 metre (330 feet) drop.

This results into a spray that can be seen from more than 30km (20 miles) away and from there it derives its local African name - Mosi-Oa-Tunya - ‘The Smoke that Thunders’.
