Be transported to the spectacular sand dunes of the National Park at Atlantis (5 sq.km’s), with stunning views back over the bay to Table Mountain and learn the art of gliding down a dune at SPEED!

For racing down the dunes we use snowboards with a specialised base that we developed specially for the purpose. We laminate the bottom of the board with SuperslickTm- a Downhill Adventures secret material which becomes even more slippery the more you ride it. The bindings and boots are exactly the same as used in Snowboarding- we import all our professional equipment from the US, Canada and Europe.

The equipment and movements of Sandboarding are similar to Snowboarding. It’s also a good way to learn Snowboarding before you go into the snow. It is easier to learn, but once you can Sandboard, you will be able to Snowboard.  So bring your swimming shorts and kick some dunes!
