SKYDIVING TANDEM - TRIP INFORMATION |
|
| |
Briefing:
The tandem passenger will be supplied with a jumpsuit and a tandem passenger harness to wear during the jump. Expensive necklaces, bracelets and watches should be left on the ground. Once kitted up the tandem master will take his passenger and walk with them to the aircraft. Before the 20 to 30 minute aircraft ride to an altitude of 10000 feet (3000 meter) above ground has passed, the tandem master crosschecks his own and the passengers equipment. Then the passenger will be hooked onto the tandem master via four hooks, two on the shoulders and two at the hips. When hooked up and ready for the jump the aircraft flies overhead the Drop Zone. The door gets opens and the tandem pair shuffles into the door for exit. The tandem pair freefalls from 10 000 feet to 5 000 feet at a speed of about 200 km/hr. At 5 000 feet after the 35 second freefall the tandem parachute opens gently and the tandem pair slows down to about 35 km/hr. The fully maneuverable ram air parachute allows the tandem to glide down to the landing area. After 5 minutes under the parachute the tandem lands softly on the ground. Back in the office the harness and jumpsuit are taken off and the memory lasts forever.

| VICTORIA FALLS |
Victoria Falls is one of the natural wonders of the world and a World Heritage site. The Victoria Falls topples over a sheer 100 metre (330 feet) drop.
This results into a spray that can be seen from more than 30km (20 miles) away and from there it derives its local African name - Mosi-Oa-Tunya - ‘The Smoke that Thunders’. |
