The Marangu Route is known to be the easiest and most comfortable route used to summit Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa.
The route is well developed with most climbers using this route yearly as the climb is gradual and constant which gives climbers time to acclimatise. The approach to the summit is the exception where steep slopes await which are slightly more demanding.
Accommodation is in mountain huts and not tents which is great as the nights can be very cold.
