Pilanesberg Safaris

Pilanesberg is a malaria free Big 5 game reserve only 2.5 hours north of Johannesburg. Set in an ancient volcanic crater the Pilanesberg boasts a rich variety of animal and birdlife in the relatively small 572 km² of protected area.

We offer two, three or four day Pilanesberg safaris departing from Johannesburg on a daily basis. A minimum of two people are required for a departure but we can take one person if they are willing to pay a supplement charge for the transport.

Accommodation on these safaris are in one of the 4* lodges situated on the border of the park. The selected lodge will depend on availability at the time of booking but our preferred lodges are: Shepherd’s Tree or Ivory Tree Game Lodge.

Included in the safari:

• Pick up and drop off in Johannesburg/Pretoria
• Return road transfers in a closed, climate controlled vehicle
• Professional drivers/guides (FGASA registered – Field Guides Association of Southern Africa)
• 3 meals per day excluding breakfast in the first day and only breakfast on the last day.
• Game drives in an open safari vehicles
• All entry fees and daily conservation levies
• Accommodation in luxury en-suite rooms in 4* Lodges
• Bottled mineral water in the transfer vehicle
• Craft market shopping opportunity at Hartebeestpoort Dam on the last day
