Tanzania is located in east Africa bordered by Mozambique, Malawi and Zambia to the South, DR Congo, Burundi and Rwanda to the west, Uganda and Kenya to the north and the Indian Ocean to the east.
Tanzania is a large diverse country – from the mountainous regions in the north and south to the semi-arid central region, the tropical coast and the lush area along the great lakes of Tanganyika, Malawi and Victoria.
Tanzania is home to the highest mountain in Africa – Kilimanjaro which is conquered each year by thousands of enthusiastic climbers. It is also home to the lowest point in Africa – the bottom of Lake Tanganyika which is 352m below sea level.

Best time to visit:
Tanzania can be visited all year round. The north and east has 2 rainy periods, short rains from October to December and long rains from March to May. The south, western and central regions have one rainy season from October through May.
The best time to climb Kilimanjaro is in the dry season so any time between July and September and again in January through March. The best time for Safari in the northern parks & visiting Zanzibar is the same as for climbing Kilimanjaro.
