Uganda is a landlocked country in east Africa bordering on Tanzania to the south east, Kenya to the east, Rwanda to the south west, DR Congo to the west and South Sudan to the north. Uganda is probably best known the world over for Idi Amin and his tyrannical rule over the country in the 70`s.
These days most visitors frequent Uganda to experience the Mountain Gorillas from up close, trekking in the Bwindi Impenetrable forest which borders on the DR Congo and Rwanda.
Uganda is also home to the source of the Nile – the White Nile flows out of Lake Victoria which is the largest lake in Africa.
